J2 - Fanciful Polymer Posies July 8-9, 2017

Dates:  July 8-9, 2017

Class Times: Sat 9am-5pm; Sun 9am-2:30pm

Instructor:  Christine Damm

Open Studio:  Sat 7-9pm

Both beginners and crafters already familiar with polymer clay can make beautiful, lightweight blooms for jewelry, mixed media or home décor with this class. On Day One using polymer clay--a sculpture-friendly oven-cured modeling medium--you’ll learn many ways to apply color to the surface of the clay using paints, pastels and crayons and then turn your fanciful elements into flower shapes with multiple uses. On Day 2 we’ll mount our blooms using wire and other embellishments—fiber, buttons, etc-- to add leaves, stems and finishing touches. Options for jewelry applications will also be discussed. Coaching with color choices will be provided and you’ll come away with the confidence and skills to tackle projects on your own.

Material Cost:  $25
