WS1 - Painting Winter Landscapes in Watercolor - March 3-4, 2018

Open Studio:  None

Watercolor artist, Robert O’Brien AWS NWS, will teach a two-day workshop and the subject will be the magnificent New England countryside in winter. Light, shadow, value and composition will be emphasized. The instructor will begin with a demonstration, explaining each step of the process. Students will then paint with the instructor providing hands on assistance. There will be a critique given at the end of class. Students are encouraged to provide their own reference photos, though I will have many on hand. A materials list will be available upon request.

About the Instructor:

ROBERT O’BRIEN has been painting in the watercolor medium for over 30 years and teaching for over 20 years. He is a member of the New England Watercolor Society, the North East Watercolor Society and the Central NY Watercolor Society;. Robert’s subjects are mainly close-focus, using the dry-brush technique in many of his works.
