About the Instructor:
Lynn VanNatta’s paintings are expressive, full of life and richness of lush color. Her aim is to capture the truth of her subjects in paint. She strives to expressively, capture light, shadows, color and content. Lynn’s painting technique is very loose and painterly, especially in her Plein Air paintings. Lynn also paints frequently in her studio, where she works on larger more complex pieces, some of which are commissions. Lynn admires Sorolla, Sargent, Hibbard and Gruppe. To name a few. Her painting style has been influenced by the Cape Ann Painters of Massachusetts . Caleb Stone of Gloucester, MA is her friend and long time mentor.
