Dates: Oct 14, 2017
Class Times: Sat 9am-4pm
Instructor: Nancy Conway and Lyn Haas
Open Studio: none
In this one day class, students will decorate gourds using stippling techniques to add designs to the gourd, then choose either pine needle coiling or beading to add an amazing finish to the top of the gourd. We will demonstrate and let you try cleaning a gourd so you can continue this craft on your own. If you haven’t done either pine needle coiling or beading, this class will provide a good introduction to both of these skills, as well as to the world of gourd craft---which is extensive. If you are familiar with either or both pine needle coiling or beading, you may find ways to put the two together to create a really individual piece of gourd art.
Material Cost: $45
