Make your own basket and in the process learn one of the oldest crafts in human history. For thousands of years, baskets served as indispensable objects in every culture. Carry on the tradition and take home a beautiful, durable, useful, and comfortable-to-wear basket crafted from local and responsibly harvested, and hand pounded black ash logs. Students will weave an approximately 14" tall traditional Adirondack pack basket with cedar runners and base and adjustable harness. This basket is made to last and be used. It is a great size for a picnic lunch, a trip to the farmer's market or a day pack for hikes. Included is a discussion on how the material is harvested and processed.

Materials Fee:  $175 – Please note: The materials used in your basket will be responsibly harvested and painstakingly hand-prepared by your instructor.
