Both natural and dyed reeds are used to make these two large baskets. One basket will have a round base the other will have a square base, and both offer a variety of basketry techniques and added embellishments. You will make one basket each day. Intermediate students should finish each project in a day, but if not, all directions will be provided to the student to finish the basket on their own.
Take both this class and the Fancy Lady Basket class on March 15 for the two-day rate of $195.

About the Instructor:
Dona is primarily a basket maker. She wants to help the fellow basket maker have fun while learning the techniques and methods she has found helpful over the years to help achieve work they could be proud of. She started teaching classes in 1992 throughout NJ at school campuses, local basketry guilds, and various galleries. Winning numerous awards for her work, she also has been recognized on local TV, in newspapers, magazines, and articles in several basketry newsletters. Not slowing down since moving to Tunbridge, VT in 1996, she has continued to teach classes across the country and holds classes at her quiet & secluded “Country Spirit Basket” studio with husband Warren. Dona does not focus on one style of basketry or one medium. She also enjoys the gifts of nature which she shares with students one being birch bark.
