Class Description:
Explore the possibilities of working with silk using many different techniques to add color and texture to scarves and silk fabric. We’ll learn now to make rusted scarves, shibori silk scarves/fabric and a few other surprises thrown in. You’ll also learn about the history of silk and how important silk is in our lives. The class is open to all who love silk fabric and can be very helpful to quilters and mixed media artists.
Instructor Biography:
Sandi Cirillo is a retired art educator who gives many different classes throughout the Northeast. She exhibits her work locally and nationally and you can see examples of her work on her website, especially-for-ewe.com. Sandi lives in Searsport, Maine, where she has her studio. She has been working in fiber for over 30 years.
