Class Description:

In this second class exploring painting on fabric, we will focus on using acrylic fabric paints on cotton. The class will provide instruction on how to do a wash on fabric, how to mark and color commercial patterned fabric, and how to make acrylic-dot mandalas both freehand and using stencils as a guide. All tools, materials, and paint will be supplied by the instructor. Students can take 1, 2, or all 3 classes in this series.

Instructor Biography:

Nancy Monson is a mixed-media artist and the author of Craft to Heal: Soothing Your Soul with Sewing, Painting and Other Pastimes. She was an Artist in Residence at Fletcher Farm School in 2019 and has a Post-Graduate Certificate in Fiber Art from the University of Massachusetts.
