Felting is more than just creating cute animals and gnomes. This class will cover the history of felting, types of wool, and the equipment to be used.
Students will create three projects of increasing difficulty. One wearable, one frameable and one for the home. Each project is designed to both get the student comfortable with needle felting and to expand their creativity. No artistic talent is necessary.

Felting is an ancient are that links Karen Sugalski with her heritage. Many cultures from around the world have a tradition of felting practical and art items. From Gardner, Massachusetts – Karen fell in love with fiber over five years ago and enjoys sharing her passion for felting. She has won several awards for her work in her local artist league and continues to explore and learn through experimenting, books and tutorials from around the world.
