Color is emotion in a painting. Working against an underpainting, we’ll explore ways to step-up color in our landscapes to achieve exciting, broken-color, painterly results. Learn to create a keen sense of mood in the landscape by limiting tonal range and color, softening edges and simplifying shapes. Tonal painting is often described as poetic, nostalgic or dreamlike.
