Class Description:
Participants in this workshop will pay $50 per day and $5 per day lab fee. Materials are available from the facilitator for a fee. If you will be registering for more than one day, please adjust the quantity in your cart to indicate the number of days you will be attending.
This course is offered to meet the needs of a variety of students. A background in metals or Silver Fabrication 1 is strongly recommended, but the class can also accommodate those with no background in metalworking. Students will design and craft one-of-a-kind jewelry creations. As in Fabrication 1, soldering, sawing and forming are taught and used to create these works. A very supportive and calm environment will prevail in the classroom to assure the enjoyment of your study. There is a $20 lab fee for consumables, in addition to the materials fee.
Biography:
Debi Orton has been an assistant instructor for our silversmithing workshops for many years. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Society of Vermont Artists and Craftsmen. Debi actively makes and sells beautiful silver jewelry, in addition to pursuing her passions for fine and fiber arts, along with writing.
