Class Description:

These fabulous snowshoes are to be used, not just to hang on the wall of your cabin or home. The strength and durability of these shoes are great or a child of 5-7 years of age. The weaving technique has a series of knots and twists and it resembles the Shaker cheese pattern. We will discuss the finishing process with polyurethane, and attaching harnesses. Harnesses are made specifically to this size snowshoe and are of fine leather. You will be weaving with nylon lacing that has a 2,600 lb. test weight and the snowshoe frames are steam bent from locally harvested ash.

This class is great for someone with basket weaving experience but with the time allotted, a beginner can accomplish it with my help.  Feel free to contact me for further discussion if you’re unsure.
