Class Description:

The word junk means old, discarded or useless and a junk journal is a book meant to put junk, memorabilia and ephemera all in one place.  The focus of this class is to create covers for your own personal Junk Journal by using old book covers, covering them with interesting ephemera and junk paper.  When finished you will fill your book with all sorts of pages, papers, and then create pockets and tuck spots.  Next will be to fill the blank spaces with your own personal memorabilia, photos, cards, love letters and items that are of value to you.

Instructor Biography:

Murray Hill Weaving is Jean Reed’s dream come true – resulting from her love of basketry, and weaving for over 40 years.  Basketry took a natural turn into chair seating and other types of art.  Located at 685 Murray Hill Road, Hill, NH, the heart of New England, Jean teaches an array of classes in her shop and around the country.  You’ll always find talented artists from all over the world sharing their knowledge and skills with students at MHW.   Visit me at www.MurrayHillWeaving.com
